Designed for a small hive (the nucleus colony), this deep nuc box has many uses for the handy beekeeper. Use it to increase populations of a weak hive, to raise new queens (so if your main hive goes queenless, you'll be ready), or to split an overcrowded colony. Each box is carefully handcrafted by an Amish family who raises their own bees, so you'll get a box that lasts and works well.
FOR BEST CARE: We recommend any wooden hive component surface that is exposed to the elements to be protected with exterior primer and paint before use. Only prime and paint the outside, NEVER the inside where the bees live.
