Short Bio

I'm Jill Winger. I live out on the wide-open Wyoming prairie with my husband, Christian, and our three free-range prairie children. We've been living the homestead lifestyle for 10 years and I love helping people who feel uninspired with conventional living to master old-fashioned skills and learn how to grow their own food.

What Movie, Book or Song describes your life?

I've been reading the book Almost Pioneers, by Laura Gibson Smith. It chronicles her story of homesteading in our exact area in the early 1900s, and it's uncanny how parallel our lives are!

My Favorite Lehman's Products are

Oh man, how do I pick! I adore their fermenting crocks, and am also a sucker for anything cast iron.

What is your favorite animal?

Horses... I've been one of those crazy horse girls since I was 3... but cows are a close second!

What is your connection to Lehmans

I've always considered Lehman's to be the 'ultimate' when it comes to old-fashioned products or homesteading equipment. More recently, I've been so excited to be able to work with them in creating my Heritage Cooking Crash Course-- they're truly a one-stop shop for homesteading folk like me!
