Not only is this a fun, do-it-yourself project, but this bat house gives beneficial bats the shelter they need. Kit includes convenient pre-cut wooden pieces and all the necessary hardware you need to build.

Bats are a gardener's friend. They help reduce the overpopulation of insects (mosquitoes, black flies, fruit flies, etc.) and they pollinate fruit crops and plants. But over the last 25 years, the world has lost 80 percent of its bat population. Bat houses give them shelter and the protection they need. Just hang your bat house 10 to 15 feet above the ground, facing south to southwest. Hang on a tree or on the side of a building.
