Ultra Fluoride Test
Note: The Ultra Fluoride filter element does not fit the British Berkefeld Baron gravity filter. Not for salt water.
*Tested in house with a 1 ppm nominal influent fluoride concentration. If your water contains 1ppm of Fluoride the Ultra Fluoride will effectively filter 515 gal (1,950) before needing to be replaced.
Care Instructions:
Over time, you may notice black buildup on your Ultra Fluoride filter, especially if you live in a cloudy water area. You can clean the filter to help restore its flow. Just remove the filter and scrub the surface evenly with a clean abrasive kitchen pad under running water or in a bowl, ensuring that the open ended plastic mount is clear of the water, to avoid contamination.
For best results, replace the Ultra Fluoride filter every 6 months. The carbon filter piece is biodegradable; plastic is recyclable.
Flow Rate:
Note: Your first use of the Ultra Fluoride Filter will be slow. No worries - this is normal. After a few cycles (after the internal carbon block is thoroughly wet), the speed will improve. The pores on the ceramic filter element are smaller than other filters on the market, but this also allows extra exposure time to the carbon and media. The more filter elements you use, the quicker the flow rate.
Water flow is affected by the quality of water supply, so flow rate will vary. You can only use either the Ultra Fluoride or the Ultra Sterasyl filters, not both at the same time.
