Made of handsome stoneware, our cooler serves as a handy drink dispenser for parties or as a crock for making your own vinegar. When filled with cold liquid, the natural cycle of condensation and evaporation keeps contents cool. And thanks to its spigot and dark environment, it's ideal for making vinegar, too.
Note: Cooler will hold hot beverages, but will not keep them hot for a long period of time. As with all pottery, avoid extreme temperature changes as cooler may crack.
*Since this item is made by hand, dimensions may slightly vary.
Use this cooler for dispensing drinks or making homemade vinegar.
Did you know . . . When making vinegar, you need to draw the vinegar away from the mother of vinegar (Mycoderma aceti) without disturbing it. That's why a crock with a spigot is a must. Plus, stoneware provides the dark environment the mother of vinegar needs (unlike plastic and glass).
What our customers are saying . . . "My sweetheart bought this for me a couple years ago and I can't believe how much use it gets. Hot chocolate for the family in the winter, punch at the family get together, ice water in the summer, I LOVE it!" - Gregory
"I have been using this crock to make cold-brewed iced tea in the refrigerator. It's working beautifully well so far. The 2 gallon size is easy enough for me to lift on to the top shelf of the refrigerator when full." - Matthew
Hand-Turned for Heirloom Quality! In a pottery studio in Texas, this beautiful stoneware is made the traditional way - on a potter's wheel! Each one is made by hand ("hand-thrown" as potters call it). It may take longer, but the quality is worth it.
How to Use the Stand: Place stand on a flat, sturdy surface. Make sure the open side of the stand is facing up. Place the water cooler on the stand. It will slightly go inside the stand. Position it so it's upright and straight.
Note: This stand is designed for use with our stoneware cooler/crock #1106220 only.
