If you're using a froe, then you need a wooden mallet! Made by an Amish craftsman, our mallet is extremely durable and is crafted of birch hardwood for a good shock resistance. Its ergonomic handle with a ball end keeps the mallet from slipping out of your grasp while in use.

Why Use a Wooden Mallet with a Froe?
A froe requires a durable striking tool to use properly, but a steel hammer would cause damage to the froe's blade. A hardwood mallet won't harm the blade and is still able to provide the needed durability and strength.
