Handcrafted Olive Wood Ornaments from Bethlehem
This year add a special touch to your Christmas season with handcrafted olive wood ornaments from the Holy Land. This beautiful wood comes from olive trees, the type that grew in Gethsemane and around Jerusalem where Jesus walked. Every two years the olive trees are pruned so that they bear fruit. These beautiful pieces are made from these prunings by craftsmen living in the area.
How They're Made
Each ornament is made of wood that comes from olive branches that were pruned from olive groves - no tree is cut down. The branches are dried for a year or more before being used. The wood is then carefully selected, dried and carved to showcase the beautiful grains on each ornament.
