Excellent Pump!

I was really happy with the quality of this pump. It was packed for shipment really well too. Hard to find out when it was available and it took several weeks on back order but well worth the wait. I highly recommend this pump.

We have used this pump for 15 years now. It has preformed perfectly. I wouldn't dare estimate how many gallons of water it has pumped.

I received the pump in

I received the pump in great shape, it was well packed. It has been installed to pump water directly from my well and into the house, when the electric pump is off. Works perfectly and I can pump the water into my house plumbing. No buckets needed.

I just got through fencing

I just got through fencing the well house into the yard so I will have more protection from theft. Installed the pump today,primed it and my first thought was, this is an OK pump, which I intend to use for power outages etc.

We've had this pump installed

We've had this pump installed as a back-up on an old shallow well for about four years. It is rugged and reliable. In our rural location, we tend to lose power for a week or more during heavy snows, and this pump has been a God-send for keeping animals watered. n-air outdoor location, and through our own negligence in leaving it primed twice during the depths of winter, it has frozen and blown the rear bolt off. Both times I expectd a total loss, but everything was in great shape and as soon as the bolt was replaced it was back in business without out any further repair or tinkering! Read Less

Q: How many gallons per minute and can the handle be on either side of the pump spout?

A: The stroke length on the pump is 3", therefore it takes 14 strokes to fill a gallon container. Gallons per minute would depend on how quickly you would pump the unit. The handle is not reversable.

A: Lynn, you will need to know your static water level to determine how much drop pipe you would need. Also this is a shallow well pump. A shallow well is anything up to 20 ft. Static water levels over 20 feet indicate that you will need a deep well pump.
